Testimonials

“Thank you for the amazing experience that you and EPL provided me. It is truly phenomenal how I have grown as an individual.

I had no idea how to dream as it didn’t seem logical and tangible. EPL taught me to dream BIG and how to put a plan together in order to make these dreams a REALITY. It made me believe in things that I normally would have just brushed off.
What have I Learned…….

  • The key to developing personal leadership is to believe in yourself first. Once you know you can accomplish anything you desire, you are ready to tackle the world and generate great personal success.
  • Conditioning is just a temporary phase – changing attitude, behaviour and habits will change your values and align yourself to your dreams and goals
  • Write your goals down. Know yourself and your present condition so you can be realistic about where you are going. Writing your goals crystallizes your thoughts and forces you to be realistic and logical.
  • Develop an action plan. A large dream can be overwhelming so break your goals into manageable pieces and define the steps necessary to accomplish them. Then put the steps into a logical sequence.
  • Visualise your goals!
  • Track and measure results so you know where you are. Items you track and measure get accomplished. When you make steady progress, you are much less likely to experience personal doubts. As you track your success you can enjoy your accomplishments.

Thank you for equipping me with some vital life tools – never again will I doubt myself or my belief systems! Anything is possible – it only depends on how badly I want it!

I am now on a steady path physically, mentally and emotionally. Life is finally balanced and new challenges are merely a step away.”Zenelda Hall (Account Manager MTN)

Theo has completed his Dynamics for Personal Goal Setting as well as Attitude is Everything. Here is what he had to say …………..

““Thank you to LMI for the great journey experienced over the past year. The knowledge that you and the course provided had a tremendous impact on me as an individual, and fast tracked my personal growth at an exceptional rate.

Planning and goal setting was never in my mind and dreams merely stayed dreams. Through the DPGS, I learned how to achieve those dreams by implementing the necessary action steps, converting and realising them.

“Attitude is Everything” perfectly complemented the previous course and further fine-tuned the process of personal development.

After completing these courses I found myself with more free time, time spent focusing on both personal and business goals. Together with the courage and determination to achieve, the impossible became possible.

Thank you for equipping me with these “tools”, with the right attitude anything is possible.”Theo Albertus (Area Sales Manager MTN)

“I started the LMI course, Effective Leadership Development, with more than just a bit of scepticism, as it all seemed to be formed around an ideal working situation, in a “perfect world”. But after a couple of lessons, and the guidance, experience and insight of our excellent tutor , Naomi Basson, I realized that the course doesn’t focus on maintaining the status quo, but rather on the creation of an ideal working environment where it becomes easier and more enjoyable to deliver a top quality service or product.

The beauty of the tools provided in the course is that it is applicable in all facets of live. Bringing structure to a workplace and balance to your personal life.

From turning staff into team members to turning mountains into molehills, the course offers most valuable life skills.”Daniel Oosthuizen (Mofam River Lodge)

“I would like to thank you for believing enough in me to persuade me to sign up for this course. At first I was sceptical and thought what would I benefit, and second of all where would I get the money from to pay?

The last 11 weeks was a journey. My business transformed and so did I as a person. I have learned that putting me first is not a sin, and that investing in me as a person was way overdue. I ran a business for 5 years that had no goal or plan. There were things in my business I did not want to face but the material forced me to visit these areas, and now I am so happy I did.

My business is still not successful, but I have a plan and I work with that plan. I have a goal for my business and I will achieve that. I know that it is only a matter of time then my business will be smooth sailing and making money.

The group sessions were of great value. I was forced to deal with 10 strangers, people I had never met before and share my dreams and goals with them. I have learned so much from these people and they will always be a part of my network, some will stay friends forever.

The other facilitator’s knowledge was an add on and Carl’s life experiences left me in awe every time. I could just sit and listen to this wise man. He is for sure a role model to all of us. Unfortunately we only met Greg on the final night. He is older and I believe someone that has had a wonderful journey that he could also share with a group. I look forward to meeting him again.

Naomi you were the glue and success behind this course. Your determination saw me through the weekly CD’s and lessons. Your time devoted to me and the group was sacred and we could phone or email you 24/7. You were always ready with a kind word, advice when asked for or a shoulder when we were down. You shared your knowledge with the group without being a know-it-all, and this made everyone more relaxed and enabled us to open up towards each other.

I would recommend this course to anyone who feels derailed. Someone that has lost hope, and not knowing how to start again with their business.

I will definitely in future do one of the other courses you have to offer.

My best wishes to you and your way forward. I know and believe all you touch will turn into gold.

Thank you. With lots of love”Charlene Lodewyks (Hoopenburg Guesthouse)

“During 2012 I got to a crossroad in my life, where things did not add up. Something had to be done. I got in contact with Naomi Basson who recommended the Dynamics of Personal Goal Setting course for me.

Within the first week of the program, my life started to take direction; I set my first goals and started to write up my goal sheet. This showed me all the things that I still needed to do in my life and that there is a purpose to my life. As we did the “Wheel of Life” exercises the imbalance in my life became apparent and the spaces in my life that I needed to work on became clear.

The program taught me the steps of setting goals and the importance of all the elements. From there, the first goals were set and the direction to my life was back. With direction and drive that I found in the program, I am a happy man that can provide a happy stable environment for his family and be happy at work while having fun. Since starting the program I have achieved a number of personal goals, got plans in place to further my career and to work on my work team. I have personal goals in place for holidays and making my wife happy.

Thank you to Naomi for introducing me to the program and thank you to the program for putting me back on track.”Charles Smith (Area Sales Manager MTN)

“It is with gratitude that I write to thank you for the “Dynamics of Personal Goal Setting” course which we have just completed recently.
After not working for over 3 years, I have fallen into a comfort zone, which spiralled negatively, as it affected a few things; ie. My self confidence to get back in the work place, not having direction, clarity, goals, etc.
DPGS has not only made us ‘dream’ again, but also encouraged us to start making dreams a reality, by making dreams into GOALS.
It has changed me for the better, changed the way I think, changed my attitudes, gave me new appreciation for and belief in myself.
Thanks to DPGS, I am launching my new business in 2 months time! And this is only ONE of my short term goals. We will be in touch and I will update you on the others, as I progress.”

“Along with three of my colleagues I was in the fortunate position that our Company, The Third Network, arranged for us to attend the Effective Leadership course.

Although all of us were very skeptical at the start, with the thought of “Aaaaag !!! Just another course” we soon learnt that this was definitely much more. The benefit of what we were taught was not just for improvement in the work place, but for our own personal lives as well. The aspects around personal goal setting being invaluable.

I come from a Human Resources background and have been involved in lecturing at a couple of institutions on leadership and really looked at the material with a critical eye. I must say the layout and content of this course was outstanding, comprehensively covering all that is needed to develop a good leader.

Our course presenter, Naomi Basson, was extremely knowledgeable with a lot of wisdom. Coming from a corporate background as a Senior Manager herself has equipped her to relate well to any practical situation in the workplace.

Naomi, with her experience, did not just present the course but could supply solutions to some of the problems we encountered in the workplace. I really enjoyed the enthusiasm, commitment and energy she employed in presenting the course and in my humble opinion she deserves a 10 out 10.”Joe Venter (Group Human Resources Manager – The Third Network)

“I enrolled two of my area managers to do the EPP course through the LMI group. This was done through Naomi Basson. The skills that they have been taught they are still using today and I can clearly see the difference in my two managers. I knew that they have the potential and this program has in such an effective manor equipped them better to manage and handle the day to day situations that they are faced with in our industry.
Besides enhancing themselves it has even help them manage the team that report into then at a more effective manner. I feel that both of them now are at the level that I have always wanted them to be at. All of this has resulted in better productivity in this area of theirs.
I can highly recommend this program as it has made a difference in our business.”

“My name is Wycliff Mcebisi Bathaka, who is too young to complain without doing anything about the imperfections of life and the people around which I exist, and yet I am aware that the world and its people is not perfect. In LMI terms the wheel of life is not round. Thus on the 16th July 2013 I commenced with my Effective Personal Leadership, coached by Ms Naomi Basson, mentored by Mr Brian Smith.

This came at the time when I was a month with my new sales team as their Sales Manager. What a spot on timing! The programme has really helped me structure my own work ethic and that of my new incumbents. It has helped me deal with my own conditioning and accepting my current state of wanting. It has guided me on my journey towards realising the value of building from within, through the definition of success. So to those who haven’t done the programme, I recommend you do it and look out for the definition of success, which will impact you both in your personal and professional life.

So I have embraced that definition and it helps me layout a clear way forward for my upcoming endeavours, using the progressive wins to regenerate energy for even humongous ones. Furthermore and through the testimonies from what we have consistently attained as team, I managed to motivate for my fellow sales managers to be enrolled. This was and still in the spirit of each one teaches one. Thus transferring success attitudes!!!

So I would like to thank my company, Peninsula Beverage, for affording me such a rewarding experience and off course my family (wife & kids) for the support they gave and still giving to me.”Wycliff Bathaka (Sales Manager – Penbev)

“To coin the phrase ‘The penny has dropped’ is an absolute understatement in what this course has been for me and my life path. I believed I was on the correct path to achieving things in my life but just never knew how to box all of the clutter and to put it all into perspective. It has helped me in all areas of the wheel of life, just being able to have context to what the wheel of life is, has helped me put a lot of the puzzle pieces together. I really did struggle in the beginning to conceptualise everything but when I dedicated the time needed to make this course or any course a success I found diamonds at the end of an uncertain path! What you put into anything you do in life is what you going to get out, I believe this is just the tip of the Iceberg for me and its up to me to make sure I use this knowledge to achieve all my desired goals at work and personal.

I have always been excited about the future but I must all admit being able to see you future makes you so much more determined to get there and at a faster pace.

Thank you to Naomi and the team for everything they have done for us.

Effective leadership starts with me and developing effective leaders out of teams I lead will be one of my greatest achievements.

I am excited for any other programs I will have the privilege to go on with LMI.”Terence Tichart (Sales Manager – Penbev)

“They say birds of a feather flock together… This in itself can be seen as either a negative or a positive. You hang around with negative people you become negative and cynical, hang around positive and inspirational people, you become inspired and positive.
When I started my corporate career I had all these dreams, drive and ambition to end up at the very top of my organization. But needless to say 13 years later I’m not even close to halfway. So why would that be? Well it’s actually a simple explanation. It goes a little like this…
Whenever a coaching position of any National sporting team is vacant the sporting public goes mad and it almost seems as if the team and nation will go under unless the right candidate is elected to take the team to the next level. But as a professional player of that specific team you have been elected through the ranks to represent your country based on your skills and abilities, so for all practical reasoning you don’t need someone (coach) to teach you what to do. So why would the coach than be so important? The coach has a broad view and is working on the direction, the strategy, the vision and developing the individual along the way. Analysing, growing and motivating the player – more than teaching them how to play, but rather how to tap into what they already possess.

So if that is relevant to a multi-billion dollar sporting industry worldwide (at the end of the day is only a game and nothing more), how more relevant is it to your LIFE? Your life is so much more valuable and impactful with much more potential to offer than a game of 80 Minutes or 2 hours, but rather a lifelong “game” of adding value and changing people’s lives.
When I first met Naomi and the LMI team (Leadership Management International), I was extremely frustrated and blamed nearly everyone and every situation around me with regards to my lack of performance against my “perceived” goals. Thanks to the direction and systematic approach of the LMI program and personal coaching by Naomi, I realized that I only had myself to blame. By working through the lessons I could analyse and measure my shortfalls in the key areas of my life. I could identify my dreams with crystalized visualization and turn them into goals, which I could break down in short term and long term goals. On a more personal level I learned how to channel my frustration and negative thoughts back into myself and use that additional energy to drive the desired outcome.
LMI has helped me to open my eyes and redesign my unfinished future path. It’s not just about taking the initial step by turning a new page with this wonderful program, but to actively “write” on those new pages and to continue doing so every day -without fail! Should you ever decide to stop “writing”, your life story will continue, however the pen will be held by someone else…
I would like to thank Naomi and Greg for investing their time and effort into me and developing my heightened vision to analyse my reality and see my future. Back yourself, work hard and be consistent every day with what God has gifted YOU.”
Rudolph Goosen (Penbev)

“The LMI course which I had done has changed many things not only in the work place but also in my personal life
I have made a few points below which I hope will suffice

  • I can now finally manage my time properly and allocate tasks accordingly
  • I have learned how to delegate accurately
  • My staff feel very empowered as they now have the “power” to make decisions that work in the interest of not only themselves but also the company
  • Everyone in the organisation is working as a team and no one feels overwhelmed with work as we are all working together
  • My personal life is one that now has direction and I can make conscious decisions on where I need to be and what I want out of life
  • I have realised that I my goals and ideas are more important than what other people expect me to believe in, as a result of this I now make my own decisions and decide where I am headed in life
  • One of the things I could never really handle very well was stress, I used to bottle everything up and panic when tasks were not completed timeously, I have now realised that I can only do what is in my power to do, further than that I cannot be expected to do everything. It is for this reason that my team has grown and I now have people who have various tasks can be allocated to and this allows me more time to manage my day and be accurate with completing what I am busy with.
  • The staff feel a sense of belonging as they all have their own duties and ideas which are being brought into the workplace
  • People see me as a leader now, they can approach me and I don’t get upset or angry
  • I now listen to the facts and give people a chance to explain and give their version of events before making my own deduction on a situation
  • I help people where ever possible, but if I can’t do it I am honest and open about it
  • My other main problem was my boss, if he needed something I would drop what I was doing to make sure it is done, I no longer do this, if I need to do something for him it gets done after my scheduled tasks have been completed
  • As a result of the course I am more confident, have a happy team of colleagues, can manage my time accurately, be conscious of other’s thoughts and ideas and allow people to grow by giving them the duties which I would normally do myself
  • I now have 4 managers in the organisation which have the same ideas as mine and have taken this through to their staff, allowing everyone to work as a team
  • There is no i in the word TEAM. Nothing can be done without help from others

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to do the course, aside from the above my personal life is less complicated and I now know that in order for me to grow, I need to think of myself first before thinking of anyone else. It all starts with me”Ludtfia Patel (Select Cellular)
